    Joshua Ka`Mea`Lanakila Tabag's Intro

Please ignore my name, as it's purely an artistic fascination to educate the mind of its creative "juices" if one could call it that.

I come from a Family of Missionaries from the United States who came to Hawaii in the 1800's or so. We are part of the Royal Family of Hawaii, and did a great deal to influence Christian (or Baptist I really don't know what the difference is, though I wish to learn) ways in Hawaii. Including help the Kings of Hawaii rather... submit to this religion, if that's at all a kind and respectful thing to say.

And although myself have repeatedly denied reading the bible, I do not question that this world or universe (depending on how expansive you see the places around you), was created by a God of some sort. Though I do limit it to one god, and not many. It's just I'd rather learn what god is to me, on my own not what a book told me, and would rather listen to his word not read it.

I grew up learning to question my environment, and what I saw around me. This is including the Bible, how math works, what cartoons were funny and what animals had voices that could be "heard". But I never denied nor accepted that one was more true than another, quite possibly due to my roots in Christianity or because I'm naturally a man of curiosity. Though that I do not question as it would only create frustration.

Meh... That's it for now, my fingers are sore.

If you 'go it alone' without God's instruction manual (the KJV1611 Bible) you will not succeed. Imagine driving a car by just 'winging it'.
God gave you free will. You can do what you want. The smart money is on God.

Reading the Bible will not cause your head to explode. It very well may open your eyes to a world you never saw or truly suspected. You must realize the Book was written with the intention of every single bit being followed without deviation or interpretation.

You are young, forbidding a terrible sin or accident, you have a chance of repenting and becoming Saved©.

Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

*laughs lightheartedly* My mom managed to do that just fine. Albeit she practiced in a closed parking lot. And god gave me free will, the money is on myself because I took his gift and did not spoil it.

I am also aware it will not make my head explode, but at this time, I am not quite ready to read it. As my Studies in Conceptual Design and other more "current life" saving studies are far more precedent. Though, I will at some point in the next few years (currently 18).

And I will say this to you Mr. Hutchins, your comment about dogs earlier did upset me on a personal level (much separate from faith).

Dogs are merely animals. Like all of Gods creatures, they serve a purpose.
You eat a cow and drink its pasturized milk.
You shear a lamb and eat its' chops.
You slaughter a pig, eat its' bacon.
A dog is for hunting. It finds and retrieves the game.

All part of God's plan. Read the Bible, it is all in there.

I said "personal level" Mister Hutchins, not anything else. Canines (or dogs whichever you prefer since we do have teeth that are labeled as Canines), have done far for me over the course of my life than any Human has.

I have an emotional attachment to apparently what you see as a tool, that is not wrong. And dogs are merely tamed wild beasts known as wolfs that have been domesticated for human use. I am aware of what they are GENERALLY USED FOR, yet still the proof above makes them far more valuable to me than anything.

Hey Big Kahuna, and welcome to God's Favorite Forum(tm). I often vacation in Hawaii and once got a hole-in-one at the Princeville Course, believe it or not. Tell us, what is your favorite Bible verse? What church do you attend?

I do not have a particular one (as what I said I have not read it though I do my best to pay attention to the feeling behind what verses are said to me).

But I did attend a small church at the end of my district in the Nanawale Area, during hard times. The place was kind and tolerant. I often helped out and the like. Cute cats too.

I didn't think you Hawaiians were allowed dogs. I had always heard rumors that the 180 day quarantine was an excuse to make them into Spam.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

You hawaiians? Should I say that I didn't think you White Folk allowed books to be taught to women. Oh wait... Some places THAT IS TRUE.

Talk about stereotypical bull lol. And if I saw anyone killing a dog, let it be known they'd be slain by my hands.

From what I read, the word dog is used there, as an example of negative behavior, not a literal statement.

As there is some behavior dogs have that aren't quite appropriate, but then there are things we humans do that isn't appropriate either. As far as I interpreted it, God hates the attitude and generality that would normally portray a dog, not dogs themselves.
